Who we are

The FAMARFO Children Foundation is an international non-profit organization headquartered in Arlington, Texas, USA, with a branch office in Kumasi, Ghana. Its mission is to exclusively address the needs of vulnerable children and safeguard their welfare in underprivileged communities in Ghana. Through your generous contribution to the FAMARFO Children Foundation, a sick child will receive medical attention, a child experiencing hunger or thirst will be nourished, a vulnerable child will be protected, and families will be empowered with the resources necessary to overcome poverty.

The foundation is established within the meaning of IRS Publication 557 Section 501(c)(3) Organization of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”) or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The foundation shall be operated exclusively to help a child in need, for them to receive basic medical attention, help a child experiencing hunger or thirst to be nourished and empowered poor homes with the resources necessary to overcome poverty in Ghana. In addition, FAMARFO Children Foundation has been formed for the purpose of performing all things incidental to, or appropriate in, the foregoing specific and primary purposes. However, the foundation shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, engage in any activity or the exercise of any powers which are not in furtherance of its primary non-profit purposes. The foundation shall hold and may exercise all such powers as may be conferred upon any nonprofit organization by the laws of the State of Texas and as may be necessary or expedient for the administration of the affairs and attainment of the purposes of the foundation.

Involved with multiple facets of the non-profit organization. Oversee the daily operations management, Senior administrative staff supervision, public relations, Oversees and manages organization programs and projects, Annual budgeting for the board of directors and ensuring staff stick to the set budget.

In the absence of the chairman, chair meetings of the organization and of the Executive Committee; and manage all relationship with sponsors of the non-profit foundation. Perform such other duties as deemed necessary and are assigned to him by the Board of Directors.

Ensures that foundation runs smoothly. This role’s responsibilities include leading negotiations, fundraising, sponsorships, budgeting, purchasing, and putting efficient workflows in place to maximize the foundation productivity and performance. A director of operations must develop long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior management to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities involve advocating for the interests of the foundation. Help to lead a major fundraising effort of the foundation. It also requires pitching the idea to organizations or governmental bodies in the hopes of implementing changes to help achieve the nonprofit’s mission.

A financial secretary oversees policy concerning the flow of financial resources like money in and out of an organization. Also responsible for keeping track of donations, preparing financial reports for the board of directors, and issuing payments for expenses.
